“When I was in high school, I used to pass out these cassettes that said ‘Pax-Am Records,'” Adams told Buzzfeed. “That was my imaginary label. They were little compilations where I played all the instruments… Nobody cared, of course.”
Adams would later start a record label and production studio named Pax-Am that attracts the likes of Hüsker Dü’s Bob Mould, Dead Kennedys’s Jello Biafra, Black Flag/Circle Jerks founder Keith Morris, and Johnny Depp. More recently added to Adam’s roster is La Sera. Adams produced the indie band’s upcoming fourth album Music For Listening to Music To (to be released March 4).
