The first thing you'll notice about SAFIA's music is lead vocalist Ben Woolner's voice— its a soulful, uplifting anchor to the rest of the group's electronic dance pop sound. SAFIA's big break has arrived, after the Australian natives have caught the eye of many pop music critics and blogs documenting their steady rise, and as the trio— which includes Michael Bell and Harry Sayers— have become bonafide headliners in the indie music scene, they carry on their major tour hitting up the U.S. to honor their single “Embrace Me,” which features their heavy synth sound playfully melding with Woolner's beyond-belief falsettos. Catch these fellas tonight at the Wayfarer stage along with fresh faces Boo Seeka.
