It’s St. Patrick’s Day—the holiday when Americans of all backgrounds come together to celebrate the religious feast day honoring the patron saint of Ireland. And by that, we mean wear something green and get wasted. Look outside, there’s a good chance you’ll see a dude dressed like a leprechaun throwing up on the sidewalk. If, by chance, you haven’t passed out drunk by sundown, head over to the Queen Mary for the annual Shamrock N' Roll festival. Scheduled tonight is local Celtic rock standard The Fenians, as well as L.A.-based Irish pub rock band Green Ashes. There’s also not one but two trivia bouts: the Shamrock Yer Noggin' trivia contest and the Luck O' the Irish trivia contest. So down a few pints of Gat and have a whale of a time—hopefully you can use a sick day tomorrow.
