The last day of Coachella's three day dreamland came to a close yesterday with performances by Calvin Harris, Nosaj Thing, Flume, Sia, Deafheaven, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Death Grips, and more. I think the best drug to experience this on is the deliriousness from very short intervals of sleep. It's been a wild ride.

Fun fact: in 2011 I went on Deafheaven's first tour to make a tour video. Please don't search for it, it's really bad. We've all lost touch since then, but I thought it was interesting that immediately after that tour they blew up and have been touring the world and headlining festivals, and I quit (was fired) my career adult job to pursue photography, and it's sort of come full circle in regards to success in our chosen paths that lead us to each other again. George noticed me standing with my camera in the photo pit and stopped mid-sick dance moves with a double take and reached down for a high five. How poetic, I'm a regular e.e. cummings.
