So what if the next county over is the movie capital of the world? Orange County has got quite the abundance of film making talent—as evidenced by the annual SoCal Film Fest. Now in it’s sixth year, the little festival that could has grown into a five-day film extravaganza featuring more than 130 movies and screenplays. Celebrating the culture and art of film making, the Fest prides itself on truly independent movies—not artsy actors pretending to have drug problems and rap careers. We’re excited to see A Marine Story, the acclaimed tale of a marine and her mysterious return home, and Pushin’ Up Daisies, the documentary-turned-zombie-epic.
