If you've never heard of Matt Costa, then you've probably been living under a rock . . . in Riverside. With unforgettably upbeat and quirky tunes paired with swoon-worthy looks, Costa is arguably one of the best musical acts to come out of Orange County this millennium. Okay, don't feel bad if you are unfamiliar with this musical marvel-this Tuesday is the perfect opportunity to get on the in-the-know train: Costa will be gracing Long Beach's fair Second Street with an appearance at Fingerprints record store. In such a relatively small space, this promises to be a very intimate show. Hopefully, it stays on the “intimate” side and doesn't flow into “clusterfuck,” but when you pair one of the best record stores with one of the best indie-folk acts, things are bound to get a little crazy. You'll need to pre-order his newest record, Unfamiliar Faces, which drops Tuesday, by the 21st in order to receive a wristband to secure entrance. After that, it's on a first-come-first-served basis. Good thing it's on a Tuesday; maybe you've got a chance.
