Grammy Award-winning salsa band Spanish Harlem Orchestra swings by the Museum of Latin American Art this week for an open-air concert and dance party. Founded by Aaron Levinson and Oscar Hernandez, SHO dedicates themselves to keeping the golden era of salsa and Latin dance alive and kicking high—and though the 13-piece ensemble (including some of the East Coast's greatest musicians) travel the world, they're right at home at MOLAA, the most spirited art museum in SoCal. Held in the Robert Gumbiner Sculpture Garden (which houses the most relevant collection of contemporary Latin American sculpture in the country), this exceptional concert is open to both museum members and the public—basically, anyone who wants to spend a summer evening dancing to the tropical sounds of salsa from some of the most talented entertainers in the game.
