With the recent departure of the almost-totally sucessful Spin Tuesdays at the Block of Orange (seems that the venue, Lucky Strike, was lacking proper nightclub permits, though some cry police harassment), Orange County gay nightlife was looking bleak—but only for a few weeks. The ever-resilient Proof Bar in Santa Ana brings you Spirit Tuesdays, a weekly event toted as “OC’s newest gay nightclub.” You may remember the lounge used to host Stiff Tuesdays, and we gather this is just the next, greater chapter of homolicious dancing, drinking and Tuesday-night partying. One thing is for sure: The gay community doesn’t take very kindly to being told what they can’t do.
