Starbucks got Americans hooked on coffee–can they do the same with tea?
The coffee empire is opening its first Tazo tea store in Seattle this October. Bloomberg reports that the shop will offer more than 80 varieties of loose-leaf tea, priced by the ounce, and feature a tea station where customers can create customized blends. If that's too daunting, guests can still buy behind-the-counter drinks such as iced tea and tea lattes. Similar to Starbucks locations, the store will also sell pastries, baked goods and chocolates.

While Starbucks, which bought Tazo in 1999, does not yet have plans to open additional tea shops, it's hoping to bring tea to the masses like it did with java.
