Nancy Wilhelm's Starfish opens today at the Albertsons plaza in Laguna Beach. As I said in an earlier post, if the name sounds familiar, she's the woman behind Tabu Grill and David Wilhelm's former wife.

From its Facebook page, all indications are it will go ahead with its “AmerAsian” cuisine (their made-up word, not mine), which they say is “highlighted with ingredients from the mysterious and magical countries of Thailand, Vietnam, China, Korea and India.”
If you're stuck on the word “mysterious” like I am, think about it a bit more, and you realize this might actually be true . . . at least to some folks in Laguna.
Let's hope chef Jarvis Yuan can school 'em.
