Some of us may wish we were born in a different era, yet can't imagine life without our iPhones, cars, or flushing toilets. These conflicted dreamers can have the best of both times in the world of steampunk. It's the fusion of Victorian-era styles and modern conveniences, be it through fashion, science fiction, or tools. Some of the more handy steampunkers have made Victorian-inspired laptops, Nerf guns and Darth Vader masks. Other steampunk inventions can be seen at Museo's latest exhibit showing off comic books, clothes and art from the subculture. As for us, we're really hoping for a steampunk toilet.
