In the annals of emo, fewer bands offer a more complete guilty-pleasure experience than Long Island's Taking Back Sunday. There are those of us who remember being in high school, perhaps following a breakup and singing along with singer Adam Lazzara as he passionately whined the phrase “we won't stand for hazy eyes anymore” on the 2002 song “You Know How I Do.” Though we didn't know exactly what he meant, we deeply believed it had something to do with our pain. It was melodramatic and very cool.
