In just a short amount of time, LA-based group Tashaki Miyaki have inflicted dreamy lo-fi sweetness through several short EPs featuring covers of everyone from Guns N' Roses to The Everly Brothers. But along with garage re-imaginings of popular songs, Tashaki Miyaki have shown up on the radar with fuzzy Velvet Underground-esque melodies and haunting reverb on tracks such as “Best Friend,” “Tonight,” and “Keep Me In Mind,” (which you might know as that one song from the Subaru commercial about the helicopter parent and his daughter's first day at school).
