The 10 Best Booze Brands From Metal Bands

It's a well known fact that many metal heads love to party, and by party we mean drink. Keeping with this sentiment, the worlds of heavy metal music and booze have been colliding so much these days, we decided to present several notable adult beverage options that will make you throw up the horns with every sip. From wine, bourbon, IPA beers, and even vodka, if you drink, we've got you covered. But, please remember: Drink Responsibly. And bang your fucking heads.

10. Indians Bourbon (Anthrax)
As one fourth of the Big 4 of Thrash Metal, Anthrax is also entering the heavy meets booze world. But, with 'Indians' Anthrax has released its own unique brand of bourbon whisky. The band has partnered with Jefferson's Bourbon, a Kentucky based distillery that makes micro batches of bourbon by using several different blends of rye whisky aged in special oak barrels. Anthrax's Indians single barrel whisky retails for around $100 a bottle.

9. Iron Swan Ale (The Sword)
Though it's been produced and bottled in Texas since 2013, this ale has the flavor profile and viscosity of a traditional English style Pale Ale. Brewed by Real Ale Brewing Company , in the Lone Star State, the ale is an homage to the epic, stoner doom metal band The Sword. The flavor of this ale is nutty, deep and refreshing. The ale has a very hoppy characteristic, because traditional English hops are used in the brewing process. So far, Iron Swan Ale is available online and throughout the state of Texas.

8.Black Tongue Beer (Mastodon)
In conjunction with the UK based brewing company, Signature Brew, monstrous, epic prog metal band Mastodon have released a palate crushing beer that will leave people floored and wanting more. With 8.3 % alcohol, Black Tongue is a double black IPA with intense notes of citrus and strong hoppy aftertaste. The band as personally involved in the entire process from choosing the right ingredients, to grueling taste tests.

7.Mustaine Vineyards (Dave Mustaine of Megadeth)
Dave Mustaine loves wine, so much that he owns his own vineyard near his Southern California home in the San Diego area. In conjunction with Fallbrook Winery and the help of his wife Pam, Mustaine has launched his own brands of wines, including Cabernet Sauvignon Syrah. Last year, Mustaine Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon California Symphony Interrupted Select, which was priced at $40 a bottle, sold out in less than three days.

6.Motorhead Beer/Wine/Vodka (Motorhead…duh!)
If any metal band has a reputation for partying hard, it's Motorhead. For more than four decades the band indulged in the excesses of rock stardom. Frontman Lemmy Kilmister never kept it a secret that he had an affinity for strippers, cigarettes, gambling, speed and Jack Daniels. But, even recent serious health problems for the bassist/lyricist have slowed down his ways, but not stopped them completely. Due to heart problems, blood pressure, and other ailments Lemmy has had to give up cigarettes, hard liquor and meth. But that doesn't mean he can't enjoy red wine. And it doesn't mean that he and his band mates can't use the Motorhead name to brand lager beer, vodka, and wine, which includes a 2010 Australian Shiraz. “My advice is — approach it with caution. I mean, wine is deceptive, anything can happen,” says Lemmy on the band's Web site.

5.Reign In Blood Red Wine (Slayer)
Normally thrash might be associated with shotgunning cans of beer, but who says you can't get down with speed metal while enjoying a nice glass of wine. Slayer sure as Hell hopes you do, with the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon. This edition has hints of lush berry flavors, with a spicy, smooth oak finish. It has 12.5% alcohol, and is made from grapes grown in California. This wine would pair well with red meat, pastas and cheese, vegetables. As part of a special online promotion, the wine is being sold with a miniature SLAYER coffin, where the bottle fits perfectly.

4. GWAR Bar (Yep, the whole damn bar!)
Even though the Universe tragically lost the mighty Oderus Urungus of GWAR, fans can now rejoice and keep their favorite mutant alien's legacy alive, and grab some tasty adult beverages while they're at it. The GWAR Bar is located in a thriving bar/restaurant scene in Richmond, Virginia. With the help of many of GWAR's slaves and scumdogs, the late Oderus (Dave Brockie) threw the concept together. GWAR Bar serves up some of junk food favorites such as chicken, sliders, mac and cheese and other appetizers; interpreted with a gourmet, post modern twist. The bar features a multiverse full of intergalactic drinks and specials, served in custom made GWAR tiki glasses. The bar specializes in cocktails and shots. Plus, the entire premises are filled to the brink with GWAR art, ticket stubs, concert laminates, t-shirts and memorabilia. Oderus would have been proud.

3.Insania Wines (Queensryche)
Geoff Tate is best known for singing with Queensryche, on the band's seminal album, Operation Mindcrime. But since 2008, Tate has also been involved in wine, and has produced his own brand of white and white wines, through Insania Wines. The grapes used are grown in vineyards in Washington State, where Tate lives. Taking the science of winemaking, and adding passion, art and love, Insania's signature wine blends are perfect for matching wine with food.

2.The Trooper (Iron Maiden)
Iron Maiden is one of the world's most recognizable heavy metal bands.
