The quickest way to fame? Get your song on a tech commercial. Or be hand-selected by a legend-in-the-making for their coveted opening spot. Denmark's disco dance-pop band The Asteroids Galaxy Tour got lucky with both—and straight out of the gate, too. After a freshly recorded demo caught the ears of none other than Amy Winehouse, TAGT booked their first live show as her supporting act. And continuing on their unbelievable stroke of beginner's luck, soon after that, their infectiously catchy “Around the Bend” made it onto a worldwide iPod commercial. Their blend of retro dance and charmingly erratic electronica caught the world's attention and now, led by the drop-dead gorgeous Mette Lindberg, the group comes to the Observatory for a special Tuesday night show.
