Beer tasting, accordion music, and swap-meet shopping? Is this heaven? Today at the Orange County Market Place, a multitude of amazing events are coinciding. First off, the annual Big Squeeze festival celebrates accordion-based music of all genres—performers include Celtic group The Ploughboys, Doug Legacy and the Zydeco Party Band, and the Slovenian-American Fred Mlakar Band. There's also Zydeco dance lessons throughout the day, as well as free accordion lessons and an open jam session. Want more? Right next to the music stage, you'll find the Samuel Adams Octoberfest Experience, where you can imbibe on seasonal Octoberfest brews, other specialty beers, pretzels and bratwurst. And when you've had your fill of beer and music, stagger around the swap meet and haggle on plastic cell phone covers and knock-off designer handbags. “Awesome” doesn't even begin to describe this.
