Pork Pie hats, skinny neckties and Italian scooters aren't exactly the first things you think of when you're cruising through Pomona. But for all the weary Mods looking for a golden opportunity to jump around to the oldies, The Glass House is at your service. This weekend, The Mod Reunion Show wrangled the original line-up of Squire for the UK. Come and see why this band is considered one of the Sta-pressed slack pioneers of British Mod music of the late 70s and early 80s.
To make things even sweeter, California is showcasing two of it's most influential Mod groups, The Question and The Jetz. Both former staples on the So Cal club circuit in the days of the Reagan Administration. Prepare for a night angular guitar pop, groovy horns, love lorn lyrics and plenty of sharp-dressed swagger. Even if it turns out that they've lost their fashion sense over the years, it's good too see that all three bands have decided to take another run at the music that made them legendary.
