Beau Willimon’s latest play, The Parisian Woman, makes its world premiere at South Coast Repertory this month—but you already know his work. Willimon is the writer-producer who brought the epic political drama series House of Cards to Netflix, and his play, Farragut North, became the Oscar-nominated film The Ides of March. Now, Willimon returns to the familiar setting of Capitol Hill for The Parisian Woman, his contemporary take on Henri Becque's La Parisienne. In this story, Tom is a private lawyer looking to break into government; Chloe is beautiful, intelligent woman with energy to spare. Together, they're a match made in scandalous heaven. Living in a world where status is everything, what are they willing to do to reach the top of the political ladder?
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: April 23. Continues through May 5, 2013
