The Peking Acrobats come tumbling, bouncing and flying into the Carpenter Performing Arts Center this weekend for another one of their laws-of-physics-defying performances. Unrivaled in skill and grace, the Chinese troupe holds the world record for their Human Chair Stack, which balanced six gymnasts atop six chairs towering a total of 21 feet high. They've bounded across screens both big and small—in addition to more television appearances than we have room to print, the group was in Ocean's 11, and alumnus Shaobo Qin starred in all three Ocean's films as The Amazing Yen. Come watch high-flying flips, incredible combinations of body contortion and balance acts, music, dancing, giant dragons, and much more ethereal visual delight—Cirque du Soleil has some serious competition.
