If there’s any local band that’ll make you want to put on a black leather jacket and join a motorcycle club, it’s The Rooms. Their music–which could easily be confused with an actual 1980s punk rock band–is a collection of twangy guitar bends, distortion, and vocals with attitude. Their song “Pop Hit,” for instance, runs on a tempo so fast you can feel the angst within three seconds (which, of course, is felt in all of their songs). The resident artist at The Wayfarer this month, you’ll be able to catch the band another Monday if you miss them this time. And the best part? All residency shows are free.
