Bring your little ones for an afternoon of pure mind-bogglement as the “Ripley's Believe It or Not!” exhibit comes to the Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana. Taking a family-friendly cue from the famous odditorium in Hollywood, this collection of the super-yet-natural includes a life-size model of a prehistoric snake (and a scientific explanation why such animals grew so large millions of years ago, but not today); a display dedicated to the 8-feet 11-inches Robert Wadlow, the world's tallest man; extreme body modifications embraced by certain cultures (like neck-stretching gold rings); and teeny-tiny sculptures that fit inside the eye of a sewing needle. It's a big, weird world out there—and, just for a little while, a percentage of it can be found right here in Orange County.
