For those OC residents who were alive in the '90s to experience the third-wave ska explosion, give a large portion of your applause to New York band the Toasters. Years before bands such as Mighty Mighty Bosstones and the Aquabats fired up their amps and donned creepers, these guys saw the potential in a music form yet to be appreciated in this country. They went on to make nine albums, and even after Ska's popularity has waned considerably, they continued to tour. You've got to appreciate the dedication of a band that will play the Slide Bar's tiny stage after working in the business for three decades.
