Marina High School—yes, I said “high school”—is holding a restaurant tasting event on its campus, this Friday, March 11 from 6-9 p.m. It’s called “Taste of Marina” and it’s actually the fourth year the Huntington Beach school has hosted the event. In previous years, the fundraiser has netted $7,500.
Admission is $20 for adults, $10 for students, kids 12 and under free (with paid adult admission). Parking is free and there will be music by local bands and students. Though there will not be any alcohol served, admission includes unlimited samples from about 15 restaurants, with such notable Huntington Beach restaurants as Simmzy’s, Lazy Dog, Eureka!, Red Table, and Stacked among others in attendance.
But most intriguing of all is that the future restaurateurs of Huntington Beach will also be there—Marina High School’s Culinary Arts Program will also be serving food samples!
