This Week In Food: Gourmet Chicken Nuggets, Nut Butter Recall, and Din Tai Fung Madness

We've got a packed round-up this week, dead readers. Let's take a look at what happened in food news…

Edwin felt comforted by the poutine at Biggie Baguette in Newport, he shared Afters Ice Cream's food truck addition, he announced the opening of a Dickey's BBQ in Fullerton, and he told us where to get self-serve boba in Irvine.

Anne Marie spoke with Christopher Tzorin of Tortilla Republic, she reminded us that Pig Out 3.0 is this Sunday, and she shared the opening of Capital Noodle Bar.

Charles said to check the label of any recently bought, natural, nut butters – because they bein' recalled! He also shared his secret of how to skip Din Tai Fung's 3-hour-line…and it's a secret that might disappoint you. Dave announced the opening of Legends Brewery in Anaheim (we may have hope yet) and he also told us that Blackmarket Bakery will open another location; it's something we're not sure how to feel about. Blackmarket is awesome…but it's going to be inside the Santora Building :/

Sarah went to Babette's Feast for her Long Beach Lunch and munched on the surround sound burrito at Secret Spot. Cleo told us about her favorite sushi at Hapi Sushi in Laguna, and shared the opening of a craft beer alehouse in Santa Ana. Sierra fell in love with the chicken nuggets at The North Left and Kristine with the spicy lemon garlic chicken at Chicken Maison. Courtney Hamilton named the Duchesse de Bourgogne beer our Drink of the Week and Javier Cabral shared his coolest finds at the Expo Comida Latina.

Gustavo returned from vacation and visited Da Hawaiian Kitchen for Hole in the Wall. And last, but absolutely not least, Ryan Cady took us on another magnificent trip to eat disgusting food. The culprit? 7-Eleven's Doritos Loaded.

Until next time, have a good one, from all of us at Stick a Fork In It!
