This Week In Food: Homemade Bitters, Night Market, and Correctly Popping the Cork

Hi guys! It's time for another week in food…

Edwin went to the clean and beautiful Provenance in Newport Beach for this print review. He shared the opening of Calivino Wine Pub near the Angels' Stadium and previewed the OC Night Market that will be held at the Fairgrounds this weekend. Last, he announced that Rita's Italian Ice Cream will open four more stores in OC.

Anne Marie told us that the Downtown Santa Ana Farmers Market is back with new vendors. She spoke with Ben LaFleche of Shades Restaurant for her On The Line column, and she suggested we run out to try the Greek, lemon potatoes at Surfin' Souvlaki.

Gustavo visited Ching Chinese Express in a Tustin food court you wouldn't even know existed. And he told us about a Taco Bell that caught fire. Charles craved beer after watching the viral video “Hey Pass Me a Beer,” and he showed us Alton Brown's tutorial on correctly opening a bottle of champagne.

Sarah went to Kamal Palace for her Long Beach Lunch, and Cleo spoke with some of the best bartenders in OC about how they deal with and make their own bitters.

Until next time, have a good one, from all of us at Stick a Fork In It!
