This Week In Food: Taverna Blu, Pot Tamales, and Bootlegger's on the Move

Hello ladies and gents, let's take a look at this week in food…

Edwin reviewed Taverna Blu, the new Greek restaurant in the Irvine Spectrum, and it seemed to prove that dining at the Spectrum has turned over a new leaf. Yum! Then he moved on to funny things and shared a story about Guy Fieri, and what happens if you don't register your domain name and you're as parodied as he is. Last, Edwin gave us some information about OC's restaurant week.

Gustavo went to Fu Wing Low in Fountain Valley for Hole in the Wall, then told us that five of our locals bars made it on to Nightclub & Bar's list of the top 100 clubs in the country. Next he shared a fantastic culinary creation made by a Garden Grove marijuana dispensary – pot tamales! Last, he moved on to Santa Ana and thought about how gentrification and more new restaurants might be spreading down south Main St.

Anne Marie spoke with the sweet Steve Parker of the one and only Tulsa Rib Company for On The Line. She went for a delicious brunch at ChaCha's in Brea, and last she shared the opening of Avocado Café in Huntington Beach.

Dave told us about Bootlegger's Brewery moving to a new location. Sarah had her Long Beach Lunch at Ma 'n' Pa Grocery. Jack Grimshaw told us to eat the lamb cheeseburger at Sundried Tomato Café in San Juan Capistrano. And last we were joined by staff writer Matt Coker, who named Diamond Knot Industrial IPA the Drink of the Week.

Happy eating, and have a good week!
