The Grand Central Art Center wants you to know that Brent Green, a self-taught artist and filmmaker, lives and works out of a Pennsylvania barn. Beyond that, it should also be mentioned that GCAC is featuring an installation of his video works, “To Many Men Strange Fates Are Given,” opening tonight and running through the end of the month. Known for poetic moving images that highlight personal struggles, Green once directed a feature documentary about a man who obsessively Winchester-mansioned a house for his cancer-stricken wife before falling off the roof and winding up in nursing care himself. It's the sort of narrative that gets Green's camera rolling.
