Buca di Beppo is reportedly going to attempt to break the Guinness record for world's largest bowl of pasta by dumping 10,000 pounds of spaghetti, 120 gallons of sauce and meatballs into a hotel swimming pool. Yes, a hotel swimming pool.*
This will all take place today from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. today outside the Buca di Beppo at 11757 Harbor Blvd. in Garden Grove.
Then on Monday, they will give out free bowls of spaghetti (**some details apply) to mark this, ahem, momentous occasion. Here's hoping it's not the same stuff from the swimming pool.
*Dave has contacted the restaurant and they said that they have, in fact, set up a pool in front of the restaurant to do the stunt.
