Now you can proudly show off that chandelier made from old tuna cans. In anticipation of Earth Day, a previously novel semi-holiday that's now, thankfully, becoming more and more part of our everyday lives, Muzeo is hosting the TrashARTist Challenge. Groups of Orange County school children in grades three and up got together to create works of art made from trash and recycled materials. Garbage becomes beauty; waste becomes art—and it's all made by kiddos! The exhibit is on display until April 20th, giving museum-goers a chance to peruse the works and vote for their favorite. The “People's Choice” winner will be revealed at the Earth Day Festival (April 20th from noon to 3 p.m.), along with a myriad of family- and environmentally-friendly activities.
