Truffle Month with Special Menu Benefitting Breast Cancer Nonprofit

October is many things—the start of the holiday season, Breast Cancer Awareness month, and truffle-harvesting time (us plebes usually don't pay much attention to that last one). But restauranteur Antonio Cagnolo had the foresight to combine these events and for this month, at all three of his upscale eateries, he's offering a special truffle-themed menu with 25 percent of the proceeds benefitting THE Breast Cancer Fundraiser, a nonprofit organization based in Irvine that raises money to help cancer patients with costs not covered by insurance, including massage therapy, acupuncture and beauty serves. “Truffle season is a greatly anticipated annual event in Europe,” said Cagnolo, “and I wanted to celebrate the autumn harvest with this month-long special menu that benefits a nonprofit that meets the needs of women with breast cancer.” So open those wallets and come indulge on “the diamonds of the kitchen,” it's all for a very, very good cause. www.antonello.com, www.nellocucina.com, www.quattrocaffe.com.
