Two New Farmers Markets Debut in Irvine

I've lost count on how many Farmers Markets go on in Irvine these days. There's, of course, the big one everyone knows about across the street from UCI on Saturday mornings, and then there's there's one at the Great Park on Sundays, at the Katie Wheeler Library at Jamboree and Irvine Blvd. on Tuesdays, and probably at least another one I'm forgetting and/or am not aware of.

Now there are two new ones to add to the list. From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine, a Farmers Market will now happen every Sunday at two Irvine shopping centers: Crossroads, off Barranca Pkwy. & Culver Dr., and The Square, off MacArthur Blvd. & Main St.

Here's the description I got from an e-mail the Irvine Company sent:

“Shop a variety of offerings from local purveyors including: locally grown fruits and vegetables; freshly baked artisanal breads and pastries; olive oil, hummus, tapenades, and garlic spreads; fresh fish, free-range/grass-fed beef, and grilled sausages; dried fruits and nuts; fresh cut flowers; and more.”

See you there, or at one of the other ones!
