Yes, it is moustache, not mustache in the world of competitive facial hair. The “ou” shows just how seriously some men take it. And at the annual OC Beard and Moustache competition you'll see that commitment range from classy, to pretentious, to badass, to just plain gross. This year's competition, held at Old World Village in Huntington Beach, featured eight categories, live music, a raffle and nearly one hundred contestants. The event, put on by Nicholas “Dubs” Watford, owner of Dubs Stache Wax, brought together facial hair enthusiasts in the name of raising awareness (and funds) for men's health research. Movember has seen a rapid growth in popularity, culminating in over half-a-million-dollars raised in OC alone. For more information, visit their website and Facebook page.
