Pirate’s Dinner Adventure first docked in Buena Park in 2006 after Wild Bill’s Wild West Dinner Extravaganza shuttered its saloon doors for good in the mid-aughts. The famous dinner theater spectacle now celebrates its tenth year moored on Beach Boulevard.
The attraction is billed as the “World’s Most Interactive Dinner Show,” thanks to several segments that bring audience members out of their seats and into bit parts throughout the show. Fans not only cheer on their pirate for the evening but are also selected to row in boats around the ship, toss cannon balls to their swashbuckler and even get dragged aboard ship to be sworn in as honorary pirates.
We wondered what it takes to be a pirate these days so we hopped on deck and went behind the scenes at Pirate’s Dinner Adventure. Do we have what it takes to become First Mate or were we made to walk the plank? Watch and find out:
