Deep inside the cavernous Copper Door, visitors gather together on 30 feet of communal drawing space to drink, draw to music by local DJs in a monthly event called The Big Draw. The Copper Door features entertainment nightly, but nothing so interactive and engaging as this, which has been happening for a couple of years. I explored this event in order to figure out what's the draw is for The Big Draw- what inspires these adults on a weeknight to push oil crayons around a giant piece of paper like a bunch of three-year-olds (spoiler alert: alcohol is involved). Enjoy!
