We’ve been featuring chefs participating in OC Weekly’s inaugural Fresh Toast brunch event in our On the Line column. Now, we want to make you aware of another compelling reason to attend: The Bloody Battle. As you get your sweet and savory needs met, you’ll be able to help determine the winner of our boozy competition. Our diverse competitors are armed and ready to duke it out!
Eight teams hailing from The Hub Kitchen + Taps, House of Blues Gospel Brunch, The Olive Pit, Backyard Mary, L.B. Jerky Co., The Porch, Memphis and Mama’s on 39th will be pouring samples for all attendees during the event. Voting will be in three categories: Best Bloody Mary, Best Presentation and Most Unique. Ballots will be counted and winners announced the week after Fresh Toast.
