The first week of June is always special. Not only does it signify summer being just around the corner, but it's also time to celebrate Negroni Week. Throughout the country, restaurants and bars are donating a dollar of every Negroni sold to a preferred charity. In Orange County, those dollars are going towards Inspire Artistic Minds, a non-profit providing scholarships to individuals seeking to expand their knowledge in artistic endeavors.
If drinking for a cause and attending parties are your thing, then keep reading for details on where to do both. The festivities begin this evening and continue through the 7th.

For the best bang for your buck, head over to Mesa tonight for a sampling party. Twenty dollars will get you tastings from multiple Negroni Week participants. On the roster: 320 Main, Broadway by Amar Santana, SOCIAL Costa Mesa (also this week's chef interview), Mesa and Good Times at Davey Waynes. This is strictly a cocktail affair, so grab a bite beforehand.
Additional restaurants participating in the program (besides the ones listed above) include Anepalco Restaurant, Bosscat Kitchen and Libations, Pizzeria Mozza, The North Left and Twenty Eight OC. Links to all Orange County establishments can be found below. In addition, the Mixing Glass in Costa Mesa is donating 10% of the proceeds from each Negroni kit purchased. Check out a new spot, or swing by one of your favorites for a drink. It's good to be a Negroni this week.
