A guy from The Real World is now the WWE champion. If that’s not enough proof that American pop culture is slowly eating itself, take a look for yourself as the professional-wrestling organization’s weekly USA Network cable series Raw comes to the Honda Center for a live broadcast. It’s (very, very) easy to crack jokes about exactly who will be attending a WWE show on Valentine’s Day, but expect heated manufactured conflict between the Miz (née Mike Mizanin, said MTV vet) and John Cena, the company’s current most popular attraction and occasional B-movie action star, as steam builds toward Wrestlemania, WWE’s annual, globally massive, pay-per-view event. Should be tense—if not conventionally romantic.
