Bureau of Medical Cannabis New Rules Seminar:
UCI is hosting a seminar to help people get acquainted with the new cannabis rules that every business is going to have to abide by. Andrea Bird from Bird Law Group will discuss the new proposals recently introduced by the Bureau of Medical Cannabis (BMC). There’ll be an opportunity for those in attendance to provide direct feedback to the BMC. Additionally, Ben Wu from Kush Bottles will be leading a discussion on child proof containers and how to stay compliant. Brian Easton and his team will also be there to discuss funding your cannabis business.

Best practices to success in Cannabis licensing in Los Angeles:
Kalogia Cannabis Business Community is focusing their monthly meeting on the best business practices for compliancy. According to statistics, 80 percent of start up cannabis businesses fail. This panel is centered on how to hold down a spot in the 20 percent of canna-businesses that thrive. Measure M has officially replaced the flawed Measure D in Los Angeles, and being compliant under these new regulations are going to require shifts even among those who have businesses currently operating.

Lifted and Gifted: A Cannabis Tasting Experience:
Lifted and Gifted is a three-course cannabis tasting experience where guests are guided in the consumption and appreciation of the herb. Courses of high-end top shelf cannabis will be served and gifted throughout the night, accompanied by chef-made savory and sweet bites created to complement the plant. Chef Malcolm Hood and Chief Hippo of Hippo Treats will be crafting the food for the evening. An explanation of each cannabis course will be provided to give guests a deeper understanding of the plant’s effects.

Sushi Doobie Rolling Workshop:
Want to practice your rolling skills on something more than bunts or joints? The Sushi Doobie Rolling Workshop is your chance. On Saturday May 20th at 4:20 pm, Chef Victor, a professional sushi chef will guide you in the sophisticated art of infusing sushi with cannabis. You’ll learn how to roll a doobie with flower provided by Hummingbird Medicinals and how to craft a sushi roll. You’ll even get an education on sushi history, including where to find it and how to know if it’s good fish. Kandice Hawes, Executive Director and Founder of OC NORML, will also give a brief update on local, state and federal legislation. So, basically, you’ll learn everything you need to know about sushi, weed and the law during this 2 hour, hands-on step-by-step workshop. There’ll also be a vape lounge to chill and mingle in before and after the rolling sesh. Attendees will also be gifted a goodie bag full of wonderful green treats. If you’ve ever wondered where heaven-on-Earth is– this might be the place.

Cannabis Enriched Pressed Plants Art Class:
Painted Cannabis, a cannabis enriched art class company, is holding a pressed plants art class on Sunday May 21 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. If you’re into being creative and making art while you medicate– then this class is for you. Greenery will be provided, but you can also bring your own toking equipment. Each client will receive a sponsored gift bag featuring cannabis-infused products from BeardBros Pharms, Habit Crafted (cannabis drinks), Loki Lotion and Cannabis Island Company.
