Of all the send-ups of '60s secret agent spies in film and television to exist, Mike Meyers' Austin Powers character has to the best, for who else but Powers can save the world from being blown to oblivion from Dr. Evil (also played by Meyers), grab the allure of multiple hot babes, evade arch-nemeses (including some fatal fembots) intent on stopping him, all while rocking a pirate shirt and really bad teeth. Relive the zany sight gags and '60s nostalgia with the film that spawned two equally-zany and adventuresome sequels at a screening tonight at Regency South Coast Village. And see Myers in his shag-a-delic prime, over a decade before The Love Guru tried and failed to capture the same thunder. Oh, behave!
