OC Weekly faves land Glass House gigs

Like any local fan, I'm always excited to see bands we've written about in the Weekly get some solid recognition elsewhere. Okay, so maybe Pomona is not too far elsewhere, but the April calendar at The Glass House has great OC/LB talent opening up for some Coachella caliber acts. The jazzy jam artists of Free Moral Agents, created by Mars Volta keyboardist Ikey Owens, landed a prime opening gig for their New York buddies TV On the Radio on April 14, days before they take the stage in Indio. After numerous write-ups and blogs about FMA, this is sure to be one of their finest moments yet.

And remember that charming set of garage rockers Thee Makeout Party(pictured)? They were the subject of a December edition of  Locals Only penned by our music editor Albert Ching. Apparently that must have gotten into the hands of some important people because next month you can see them opening up for The Black Keys at The Glass House on April 16. Check the The Glass House show schedule for more details.
